Jan 22nd Meeting Minutes
After some fun member socializing in the lobby of the Homewood Theatre, 2020 Home Tour co-chair Carolyn Neiswender updated the group about our upcoming 2020 Historic Hollywood Home Tour. We still need some lead home hostesses for the tour homes; this is a fun role acting as the main contact for one of the homeowners with regard to prepping for the tour. Please contact Carolyn (firstname.lastname@example.org) or co-chair Cathy Whatley (email@example.com) if you would be willing to serve in this role.
Next, executive director Kyle Bass treated us to a brief history of Homewood Theatre and previewed its upcoming shows for the 2020 season. He also showed us some cool historic photos of the original Homewood Theatre in downtown Homewood. The theatre -- a non-profit, all-volunteer organization formed in 2015 -- is dedicated to providing fun, family-friendly entertainment in Homewood, including plays, musicals, magic shows, and more. Formerly based at the Dance Foundation, the theatre is now located in Brookwood Mall across from Books-a-Million. Auditions are open to all ages/experience. See flyer for show details and contact info.
Angela Comfort was the lucky winner of the door prize – (a pair of?) tickets to the Homewood Theatre!
